Presbyterian Seminary Budapest

Theological Education

Presbyterian Seminary Budapest offers two degrees:

Master of Arts in Religion (MA)

The MA degree gives the student a solid grounding in theology (systematic, biblical, historical) and the original languages of Scriptures. It aims to prepare the student to serve the church of Christ, and may serve as a step toward the pastoral ministry. The MA degree is provided in partnership with the Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (PRTS) and gives a fully accredited diploma (by the Association of Theological Schools, ATS). The completion of 28 courses (67 credit hours in total) is required. The program requires two-three years of dedicated full-time study.

Master of Divinity (MDiv)

The focus of the Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree is to equip men for the pastoral ministry. In addition to the courses in the MA program, students will study apologetics, pastoral counseling, and preaching. The program requires the completion of 104 credit hours, and requires three-four years of dedicated full-time study.
